Hellenic Bank Public Company Limited, one of the leading Financial Institutions in Cyprus, is seeking to recruit an Associate Manager for the Middleware Team within the Technology & Digital Division.
We’re looking for a highly motivated individual to lead a middleware development team with a passion for building and deploying robust, scalable and extendible APIs. The team is working on a variety of projects that will provide value to both internal and external applications, while maintaining a strong focus on continuous delivery.
Main Responsibilities
Drive the delivery of APIs to various systems, according to the internal standards and global best practices
Manage the backlog & champion initiatives to improve technical stack
Optimise the team and the way of working to maximise delivery
Represent the team in discussions to influence architecture
Stay up-to-date with new technologies and best practices
Participate in analysis sessions/workshops to derive final solution outline
Serve as line manager & support people’s career development
Candidate Profile
Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science or a related field
Post Graduate Degree in Computer Science or another related field will be considered an advantage
At least three years of work experience in a supervisory position
Experience with web services, APIs or a middleware platform
Familiarity with the following development tools will be considered an advantage:
- Java or another object-oriented language (e.g. C#)
- MS SQL Server or another DBMS
- Git or another version control system
- Pipelines on Azure or another platform
- Datadog or other API health monitoring tools
- OpenShift or another containerization platform
- AWS, Azure or another cloud provider
- RESTful services, XML, YAML, OpenAPI and JSON
Highly-motivated with ability to deliver within tight deadlines
Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
Attentive to detail, methodical, diligent
Excellent communication skills, in Greek and English, both written and spoken
